Behind the pattern: 

Bugs and Butterflies is a little different from my later designs, I didn't draw these flowers and butterflies with any thought that it would "become something", it was mostly doodles, and you see a slightly more naive design language and that it is a slightly more airy pattern than those that come after. Maybe that's why it's still very popular, it fits into your home without taking too much attention, soft and supple.
